Psychological and neuropsychological evaluations are offered for most issues and this service constitutes the primary specialty of Dr. Hutchinson and his staff.  Evaluations often include interview, observations, testing, review of records, discussion, diagnostic considerations, recommendations, and accommodations.  Beyond diagnostic evaluations for clinical outpatients, Dr. Hutchinson provides a number of other assessment types.  He is a Qualified Medical Examiner as well as an expert witness.

Psychotherapy types are numerous at Dr. Hutchinson's clinic, including supportive, more conventional forms that involve a great deal of reflective listening, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and newer approaches such as Self-Authoring, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Schema Therapy.

Cognitive Rehabilitation

Since Dr. Hutchinson and his staff also see individuals with cognitive issues, including learning disabilities, ADHD, traumatic brain injury (TBI), dementia, and other problems, they also extend cognitive rehabilitation services.

Virtual Reality Treatment

VIRTUAL REALITY GRADUATED EXPOSURE THERAPY (VRGET) allows you to face your fears in a simulation instead of the real world. Graduated exposure in a controlled environment helps ensure you successfully face fears. During VRGET, you are immersed in an environment via goggles and headphones.

Neurostimulation Consultation

NEUROSTIMULATION technology allows for gentle stimulation that produces serotonin and other neurochemicals responsible for healthy mood and sleep.  Interested clients can potentially save thousands of dollars on psychiatric medications and avoid unpleasant side effects.
